关于SLHS顾问委员会

The Speech 语言 Hearing Sciences (SLHS) Advisory Board will be charged with providing comprehensive programmatic feedback, including progress towards the SLHS department’s 状态d mission 和 goals. They will help the faculty 和 staff of the SLHS department achieve full accreditation 和 will serve as ambassadors 和 liaisons between 密歇根州立大学丹佛 和 the greater Metro 丹佛 和 Colorado Communities. The Board is comprised of members who represent unique perspectives 和 areas of expertise. 董事会成员的任期为两年. 代表包括:

Eric谢里曼 是威斯敏斯特公立学校的语言病理学家.  他在公立学校系统工作了十年 和 是否有为儿童和成人提供家庭服务的经验.  埃里克会说两种语言(英语和西班牙语)，曾在 district assessment teams for Westminster 和 Adams 12 school districts.  He has also worked as a volunteer speech-language pathologist in Guatemala 和 Peru.  Eric is a member 和 former chair of the Colorado Bilingual SLP Network.  He is a current member of the Colorado Department of Education’s Speech-语言 Advisory Council.  埃里克住在丹佛 还有他的妻子和两个孩子. 

珍·卡特M.Ed.， ccc-slp, bcs-s, is a medically based speech-language pathologist 和 a board-certified specialist in swallowing 和 swallowing disorders with 28 years of experience. 她 currently treats inpatients 和 outpatients with oropharyngeal dysphagia 和 communication disorders at the VA Medical Center in Aurora which includes the ENT/Dysphagia 和 Voice clinic, 国家强化吞咽困难治疗研究项目, 和 the Gender Affirming Program for Speech (GAPS) which provides voice therapy for transgender Veterans.

赛 琼斯 Rajopadhye, M.A., CCC-SLP, holds a bachelor’s degree in Romance languages (法国 和 Spanish) from Colorado College, 和 a 硕士 degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Northern Colorado. 她 is 状态 licensed in Colorado 和 nationally certified by the American Speech-语言-Hearing Association (ASHA). 赛 specializes in multilingual speech 和 language therapy 和 is a native speaker of English, 法国, 和马拉地语. 她 has experience working with families from culturally 和 linguistically diverse backgrounds, 包括来自中南美洲的客户, 阿富汗, 巴基斯坦, 印度, 以及刚果民主共和国.  赛 especially enjoys providing services to clients 5 和 under, in a variety of settings. 在自由的时候 time she enjoys teaching group fitness classes, cooking, 和 spending time with her parrot Zephy.

比安卡·佩雷斯，m.s.S., CF-SLP, is a bilingual clinical fellow SLP 和 recent graduate from Lewis University in Romeoville, 伊利诺斯州. Bianca completed her undergraduate degree at MSU-丹佛 和 received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech, 语言, 听力科学辅修生物学，2021年毕业.

Bianca had the opportunity to participate in the first CRISMA (Centro de Rehabilitación Integral de San Miguel de Allende) study abroad program while she was attending MSU-丹佛.  她 learned about the growing field of speech language pathology in Mexico 和 witnessed the cooperation between various healthcare disciplines.

Bianca has taken advantage of every opportunity to participate in leadership roles throughout her academic career. 她 started out as the NSSLHA Secretary at MSU-丹佛 before rising to the position of Vice President at Lewis University. Bianca was in search of an SLP mentor when she came across the BEAM (Bilingual Empowerment via Allied Mentorship) Program. 她 relished the opportunity to converse with 和 learn from a mentor who shared a similar background. 她 has become the clinician she is today as a result of her academic 和 clinical experiences.

Bianca recently began her clinical fellowship year in her hometown of Colorado Springs 和 is excited to continue learning. When she’s not working, Bianca  loves to be in nature, read, travel, 和 spend time with loved ones. Bianca aspires to serve as a role model for the Hispanic community 和 inspire the next generation of speech, 语言和听力科学专业人士.
